The Challenge
Rainbow Ecoscience (RES) faced increasing pressure to differentiate itself as competitors began claiming similar expertise in plant healthcare (PHC), research, and training. Customers often lacked awareness of RES’s broader value, misunderstood what plant healthcare actually entails, or viewed PHC programs as too expensive and difficult to implement in their businesses.
At the same time, RES needed to evolve its perception from being simply a product distributor into a trusted business partner and technical consultant with industry-leading authority and national credibility.
The Solution
As lead designer on this brand refresh, I developed a bold, scalable visual system that repositioned RES as a trusted scientific authority and strategic business partner within the plant healthcare industry. I co-led stakeholders through a design thinking session, as well as concept exploration and iterative design development.
The refreshed identity I designed emphasized technical expertise, accessibility, and confidence while supporting a more unified national presence. I then implemented the new system across a wide range of marketing touchpoints, including print collateral, advertising, stationery, and tradeshow materials.
The Result
The refreshed brand system elevated RES’ perception from a product distributor to a knowledgeable business consultant and industry leader in plant healthcare. By creating clearer messaging, more cohesive visual communication, and accessible educational resources, the campaign strengthened brand recognition, reinforced customer trust, and better communicated the long-term value of RES’ training, consulting, and scientific expertise.
